ENGINEERING SCHOOL: THE WORLD'S LARGEST SLEEP DEPRIVATION EXPERIMENT!

Oh by the by, this is what I look like..

About me: I am 17 years old born on January 8, 1982. I have been living in Oman all my life. Right now, I am in Madrid studying Aerospace Engineering at the St. Louis University. I am a freshman and this is my first time in Spain. I've been here for 2 months now exactly and I love it! I dont ever want to leave it! *wink* And just to show you that I'm actually getting my studies done here and not just here for solid time-pass...i'm going to write to you in spanish (one of my many difficult courses...sigh...)....ok...uh...here goes...: Cmo ests? T miras m casa-pagina! Ojal que t lo gustar!

Here is a photo of my sister and one of my best friends Hashim....love them very much and since this is my first website, they just TOTALLY HAVE TO be on it.

Sad thing is I dont have a photograph of my parents as of now but will try getting one scanned soon. (Love you Mom-Dad!)

and THIS is the wonderful country that i come from......its called The Sultanate of Oman.

Ok, well, this is a view of the Oman coast from behind the King's (His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said) palace. Thats why you see the cannons on the wall and the watch tower up on the mountain. It's an escape route in case he's attacked (pretty neat eh?). Not that he ever needs to use it....its just been there ever since the palace was built...

Here is a small, front view of it, Indian School Muscat, Oman.

ISM Isometric Projection
Isometric Projection of ISM grounds, 1990

This is where I did all my schooling, right from kindergarten to grade twelve, and also the place where I spent (or bunked) some of the memorable times of my life. Therefore this link on my webpage and since you have nothing better to do than waste time visiting my site, I'm also gonna brag about my school a bit. ISM easliy ranks amongst the biggest school in the middle east, not in terms of student population but rather in terms of campus size, infrastructure and amenities. As far as student population goes we have about 6700. As far as middle east academic competition goes, I think we always manage to top all the CBSE schools in the region. One last word about the students; we got all types from just about anywhere. I think that says it all. The principal says the student population comprises mainly of "a good mixture of students from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds blending together in harmony (etc etc etc etc)...." For a full detailed ISM history..... I'm not the type to include all official stuff here, like I said, the purpose of this page, and the rest of this site is to waste your time.

The Best part about ISM schooling (comes when you're leaving it!!)

The Farewell Party- 15 February, 1999.

The ISM class of 1999 had its farewell on 15 February 1999. It was a sad day; or let me put it this way, nobody was really happy due to miscellaneous reasons like:

"shit man! My saree is not proper now I'm not gonna win the best dressed award"

or:

"the outline of my undies can be seen"

and:

"Mr. Abraham will kill me because I bunked his tuition to come here"

or even the drastic:

"sigh! This is the official end of our school lives (sob!), and everyone?s celebrating* except me" (this one?s mainly for the girls)
* the XIth graders 'cos they're finally out of our shadow;
and the teachers for reasons best kept to ourselves.

SALIENT FEATURES:
ATTACK the grub outside . . . . .
(cake was from modern bakery! that was the main reason why there was over 99% attendance that one evening. And as for the rest of the 1% that weren't there, they were mainly couples behind school in the bushes doing you-know-what)
6. Everyone outside stuffing themselves with the free (for us) grub, taking pix and making small talk, while a few characters linger on in the hall . . . .

7. Grub in the belly and satisfaction on the face and sadness in the head, everything's over. Or is it?

Phew....now that we're finally done with ISM...we can move onto better things in life...

More photographs yet to come....

Chal...bahut time-pass ho gaya...
